So you can hear timeless truths and meditate on God's character and goodness while you're learning. Early Childhood Classes include folk and classic kids songs but overall this is a hymns-based learning approach.

Your ear is trained so that when you see symbols on the Grand Staff, your brain will have a catalog of sounds to refer to, laying a foundation for easier connections down the road. We will always listen to, sing, and practice playing the music first, in order to understand how to recognize and write it. This builds musical understanding. We will do more reading exercises as the program progresses.

When it's time to learn the grand staff, I teach reading the staff as a whole and not in parts, this reduces the connections you need to make in order to read music well, and cuts down on the things you have to remember to simply put it all together. No Acronyms or Finger Numbers Here, just straightforward steps to practicing for music understanding over time.

I made this method to work for learning at home, and hope that my videos feel like a facetime class or like you're going over to a friend's house for lessons or classes. Its about solid lessons without the performance pressure, and connection over perfection.
